Backhouse Jones Architects
Backhouse Jones Architects is a design led architecture practice of RIBA chartered and ARB registered architects based in the towns of Ledbury, (Herefordshire) & Malvern, (Worcestershire).
Whilst we undertake a wide variety of projects, we specialize in domestic architecture projects from small scale refurbishment and extension projects through to large new build properties and developments.
We undertake the majority of our work throughout Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire but also do selected projects further afield.
Our Philosophy & Approach
We aim to produce well considered and crafted contemporary projects that positively enhance the lives of our clients.
A significant proportion of our projects are set within sensitive urban contexts of historic border towns, conservation areas and protected rural landscapes.
Our proposals seek to respond creatively to such surroundings - Rather than be inhibited by them, we aim to draw upon to influence to inform our designs.

Our Team
Backhouse Jones Architects was founded by Alec Backhouse and Megan Jones in 2022.
Both bring varied previous experience from working in small scale studios to large international architecture firms. Together they share a desire to create striking and finely detailed architecture that responds to the local environment, vernacular, and landscape of the area in which we operate.
